Sereland

The Fallen Kingdom

Sereland, the once great kingdom has fallen to the hands of a Dosnin Warlord by the name of Hector Mcferesh. Long have the Dosnin people feuded with the Sereks. If you traced the line of kings one would see that the Dosnins and the Sereks once came from the same house, they once claimed the same lineage. So long ago it was that historians are unsure of what caused the rift in the house but it is known that House Serel split into House Dosnin and House Serek. A political feud had begun, and the right to lord the Kingdom of Sereland became heavily disputed. When finally the last king of the ruling house Serel died without a direct heir both sides began pulling political strings lobbying for support from the other houses of Sereland and the Dutchies and lords of the land. It was the house Dosnin, namely Azgar son of Hunter that found the most support and was to take the empty throne of Sereland by the “will of the people”. On the night of Azgar’s corronation to be King of Sereland a trumpet sounded announcing the arrival of House Serek, and their favored son Lucas, the air was tense and in this night of joy one could sense something stirring. Just moments before the crowning of king Azgar of House Dosnin, Lucas called for one last announcement before the kingship was settled. A silence came over the court as Lucas then announced his marriage in secret presided over by the High Priest Stephen of Vaelyth, and blessed by the Order of the Lion protectors of the King, to the Lady Donnae of House Serel thus giving him right of blood to the throne. “Treachery” shouted Azgar as he glared at his two cousins Lucas and Donnae who thwarted his right to the throne. On that night the first blood of the two families was shed by the other, cousin against cousin as House Dosnin raised arms against Lucas and his house. However the Order of the Lion, sworn to protect the king of Sereland stood strong against House Dosnin and thwarted Azgar’s attempts at his cousin Lucas’s life. In the wake of the bloodshed both houses found their beloved friends and family dead and wounded. The next day, now King of Serelan Lucas banished his brethren House Dosnin from the lush Kingdom of Serelen. Forced to the orc infested Hills of Unther House Dosnin and those who supported them struggled to simply survive. Over many many years the true history of what happened was forgotten, but the feud never lost. Living now as clans the Dosnins hold no love for any of Sereland, and the same can be said of the Sereks towards the Clans of Dosnin. Dosnin’s forced to live a harsh life in the hills while the Sereks lived safe, protected by their kingdom walls. Every few years skirmishes between the people would occur over farmlands, or trade routes etc, but never outright war and more often than not Sereland, with their knights and armies would push back the rebelling Dosnin people. This went on for countless years, long after the death of Azgar, long after the line of Lucas of House Serek ruled the Kingdom of Sereland for many many generations. It was during the rise of darkness and the scarring of the sky the Hector Mcferesh Dosnin Warlord and uniter of the clans struck the fell blow against his blood enemy. Under the Ember Sky he and his troops marched into the capital city of Sereland who’s units had taken a terrible blow in the battle of the last stand. Hector mercilessly pushed his way through the gates of the King’s castle and in a bloody coup soon stood over the fallen body of King Aramil of House Serek and rose the jeweled crown to his head and sat upon the throne as king of the shattered lands of Sereland.
